Open to teens 13-17

This 3 session class will provide an introduction to the sewing machine including how to thread the machine, sew a straight stitch, backstitch, and turn corners. Participants will also gain experience using cutting and pressing tools.

Over the course of 3 sessions participants will make their own lined tote,  zipper pouches , and pillows.

Each 2 hour session will include time for planned projects and free sewing practice.

Class Meets 3 Saturdays January 10, 17, and 24

    Glow In the Dark Zip Pouch

    This beginner friendly zip pouch is made with Glow In the Dark vinyl for a fun twist!

    Jelly Vinyl Zip Pouch

    Think Jelly Bracelets or Jelly Shoes! This is one of our favorite materials for the feel and look.

    Scrunchies are fun and quick to make. At a scrunchie workshop everyone can expect to leave with their arm filled!

    Zip Pouch

    A classic lined zip pouch is everyone’s favorite. This workshop is customizable- request a food safe lining for snack pouches or water resistant linings for makeup bags.

    Simple and sophisticated a classic canvas tote with finished seams is the perfect accessory.

    Some clear vinyl, jelly vinyl, glitter and voila! A shaker pouch. Upgrade with fancy zipper pulls for extra fun!
