In this 11-class session, kids will learn to sew a variety of simple garments made to fit their own bodies. They'll follow patterns, take measurements, and work with both knits and wovens while learning a variety of seam-finishing techniques.
Beginners will be introduced to the sewing machine, including threading, straight seams, turning corners, and backstitching. More experienced students will explore new techniques to advance their skills.
Each child will be assigned their own sewing station with a computerized Brother machine. All materials are provided. Kids will leave with a batch of one-of-a-kind projects and the confidence to sew at home.

Schedule: Tuesdays, Sept 9–Dec 11 (no class 9/23, 10/21 & 11/11)
Makeups: Weeks of Dec 15 & Dec 22
