Workshops for Adults
Join us for a workshop to learn a new skill, make something fun, or just to have a good time .
All experience levels welcome. No sewing experience required.
Ages 18+ Workshops are held at 118 9th St, Studio 118 Brooklyn
In this 2 hour workshop you will make a lined zipper pouch (probably two). The workshop includes a basic intro to a sewing machine, including how to sew a straight seam, turn corners, and backstitch. You will also learn how to install a zipper.
All materials for the workshop are included. For this workshop you will have your choice of fabrics and zipper. All materials are cut and prepped in advance so you can get right to the good stuff of sewing.
This workshop is perfect for those new to sewing or those who haven't sewn in a while but all are welcome.

In this 2-2.5 hour workshop you will make a lined canvas tote bag. The workshop will include a basic intro to a sewing machine, including how to thread the machine, sew a straight seam, turn corners, and backstitch. You will also learn how to attach straps.
All materials for the workshop are included. For this workshop you will have your choice of floral and whimsical prints or solid canvas. All materials are cut and prepped in advance so you can get right to the good stuff of sewing.
This workshop is perfect for those new to sewing or those who haven't sewn in a while but all are welcome.
